Mike Dean, 67, of Cleveland, MS was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, December 13, 2019 at Ray Funeral in Cleveland, MS from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A second visitation service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Cleveland, MS from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life service immediately following. Graveside service will be held at Harmony Baptist Cemetery in Cruger, MS at 3:00 p.m. the same day.
Mike Dean was born to Mr. Clovis L. Dean and Mrs. Lillian Nader Dean on June 15, 1952 in Greenwood, MS. He graduated from Pillow Academy and later graduated from Delta State University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He worked at Baxter Healthcare for seventeen years, and then worked at Jimmy Sanders for twenty-five years. His last place of employment was at South Group Insurance for the past five years. Mike was a deacon at First Baptist Church of Cleveland. Over the years, Mike served as a deacon chairman and a chairman for the personnel committee. In his spare time, Mike was an outdoorsman, and he loved working in his yard in which he was very meticulous. There was not many Saturday's that did not go by that you could not find Mike wearing Red and Blue to support his Ole Miss Rebels. One of his greatest joys was to watch his grandkids play sports. Mike loved to serve others, and would do anything for anyone. Most of all, Mike loved the Lord, his family, and his church family.
Mike Dean is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Clovis L. Dean, grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dean of Stewart, MS, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Nader of Greenwood, MS, and his brother, Robert Dean.
Mike Dean is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Mrs. Brenda Dean, mother, Lillian Nader Dean of Greenwood, MS, daughter, Kimberly D. Price of Clinton, MS, son, Michael Nathanial Dean (Jennifer) of Water Valley, MS, brother, Steve A. Dean of Jacksonville, FL, grandchildren; Taylor N. Dean, Sara Ellis Dean, Andi M. Price, Drew S. Dean, and Cooper D. Price.
In Lieu of flowers the family wishes all donations be made to:
