Pat Ingram

On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, Patrick Edward (Pat) Ingram, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 83.  A visitation honoring his life will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019, from 5-7 at Ray Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 20, 2019, at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, with a visitation prior to the service at 10:00am. Pat was born on February 28, 1936, in Itta Bena, MS, to William Bryant Ingram and Hattie Maude Harman Ingram.  On February 28, 1953, he married the love of his life, Mary Emma Nicholson Ingram. They raised a son, Patrick Edward (Eddie) Ingram, Jr., and Janice Lynn Ingram Gilreath.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, Cleveland, MS, where he sang in the choir for many years.
Pat retired from New York Life Insurance Company in 2019 after 54 years of service.  He received his CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation in 1975, and his ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) rank in 1991.  He was also a lifetime member of MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table).  Pat possessed a true passion for his career with New York Life, and made many lifelong friendships throughout his profession.  He served his country in the Mississippi National Guard for four years, receiving an honorable discharge on April 27, 1955.
Pat loved snow skiing and hiking with his children and grandchildren, physical fitness, travel, and spending time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed all things science-related, and loved the study of astronomy.  Pat never met a stranger, and gave unselfishly of his time and resources to help others.  He held a special love for the town of Cleveland, MS, where he and his wife Mary raised their children.  He was known for his quick wit and his kind, compassionate spirit.
