Patricia Ann Garner Pickett

Mrs. Patricia Ann Garner Pickett, 74, of Olive Branch, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, at North Delta Hospice Center in Southaven, MS.  A graveside service honoring her life will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018, in Shaw City Cemetery with Bro. John Ray Hamilton, II officiating.
Mrs. Pickett was born in Boyle, MS, on November 21, 1943, to James Troy Garner and Clara Lee McGarrh Garner.  She worked for forty years at Bellsouth starting as an operator right out of high school then became a frame attendant putting phones together.  She was a talented crafter who painted on shoes, shirts, and even saws.  On top of her painting skills she was skilled at crocheting and belonged to a group in the church that made baby bonnets for newborns.  With a heart of gold, she had compassion for taking care of every living being especially cats.  She would take in any stray she came across. Most importantly, anyone who knocked on her door needing help, she would give them the shirt off her back; and she always felt like she could never do enough when helping others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Troy Garner and Clara Lee McGarrh Garner and brother, James Garner.
Mrs. Pickett is survived by her sister, Irma Lee Hutchinson of Boyle; nieces, Mary Upton (Tony) and Beverly Coyle both of Olive Branch; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved cats, Callie and MooMoo.
Pallbearers will be Brett Coyle and Jeremy Cantrell.
In Memory of Mrs. Pickett, the family requests donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
