Peggy Ann Miller, beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and pillar of her community, went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2025, in Lake Village, Arkansas.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2025, at Lake Village Assembly in Lake Village, AR, with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Portland Cemetery.

Peggy was born on February 18, 1946, in Lake Village, AR, to Dub and Janis Hackett. Peggy dedicated her life to her family and faith, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Peggy was a devoted Christian, deeply rooted in her faith in Jesus Christ. As a member of the Lake Village Assembly of God, she exemplified her beliefs through her actions, inspiring those around her with a strong moral compass and an unwavering commitment to her community. Her faith was a guiding force, reflected in the love and values she instilled in her family.

Professionally, Peggy contributed to her family's farm as a bookkeeper while also embracing the role of a homemaker. Her dedication to her work was evident, but it was her commitment to family that truly defined her life. Peggy married, Bobby Miller, August 16, 1969, in Lake Village, AR, and was married for over 55 years. Together, they built a life rich in love, support, and shared experiences.

Peggy’s educational journey began at Lake Side High School, from which she graduated in 1964, followed by earning her bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Arkansas in 1968. A proud Razorbacks supporter, she held a lifelong passion for sports, particularly football, which brought her joy and camaraderie with friends and family alike.

Throughout her life, Peggy cherished creating memories with her loved ones. She made it a tradition to take family vacations, traveling extensively to places such as the Holy Land—where she had her feet washed in the Jordan River—and exploring the cultures of Mexico, China, Israel, Spain, and Jamaica by land and sea.  These experiences not only broadened her horizons but also provided her family with treasured memories that they will carry forward.

Peggy also took great pleasure in shopping with her mother and finding special gifts, affectionately referred to as “happies,” for her grandchildren. This thoughtful nature shone through in her relationships, especially with her six grandchildren and two great-grandsons whom she cherished and was so proud of each of them.

Her commitment to her community was reflected in her many accomplishments. Peggy was honored as the Farm Family of the Year in 1998 and played a significant role in the Farm Bureau, serving as both state women's president and vice president. Her contributions earned her the Diamond State Award and recognition for her efforts in ensuring children had the necessities for school, such as her work with the Backpack & School Supplies initiative. She also went to the different schools to tell "How everything from a burger comes from a farm"

She is preceded in death by her father, Warren Lee "Dub" Hackett, and brother, Jimmy Lee Hackett.

Peggy is survived by her beloved family: her loving husband Bobby, Miller of Lake Village, AR, son Keith Miller of Rogers, AR (Molly), daughter Michelle Ray of Cleveland, MS (David), mother Janis Rubio of Lake Village, AR, sister Barbara Cimmarusti of Daytona Beach, FL (Lou), and her cherished grandchildren who brought her emmense joy, Madison Rodrigues of Waco, TX (Rafael); Gracie Ray of Oxford, MS; Logan Ray of Newnan, GA (Kaley Grace); Chloe Miller of Benton, AR; Macy Miller & Knox Miller of Rogers, AR.
