Rev. Percy Lee Beach, 67, of Aberdeen, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016, at his home. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Chamness, Rev. Jeff King, and Rev. Danny Burks officiating. Interment will follow in North Cleveland Cemetery. Rev. Beach was born in Wynona, MS, on December 21, 1948, to Lester Earl Beach and Lucy Pearl Barren Beach. On December 9, 1967, he married Laura Donita Gentry in Cleveland, MS. In 1978, he opened up Beach Construction and specialized in carpentry until 2011. He was a member of the Church of Faith and was driven by faith in many different aspects of his life. Rev. Beach had a passion for living in Christ and spreading God's word. Due to this love, he was called to the ministry and served in this for 39 years. He describes God's calling in his life as "the best thing of all". In his free time he loved working in his woodshop and building intricate bird houses.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Earl Beach and Lucy Pearl Barren Beach; and three brothers, Sanford Beach, Edwin Beach, and Marvin Beach. Rev. Beach is survived by his wife, Laura Donita Beach of Aberdeen; children, Jimmy Gentry (Joe Marie), James Beach (Lisa), Michael Beach (Crystal), Derrick Beach (Kristi) , and Felicia Caswell all of Cleveland; foster son, Jeff King (Stacy) of Amory; 12 grandchildren; 4 great - grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Beach of Cleveland; sister, Betty Gamble of Cleveland; and his best four legged pal, Prissy. Pallbearers will be James Beach, Phil Moore, Derrick Beach, Terry Hampton, Nathan Caswell, and Phil Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Arbuckle, Ike Arbuckle, Johnny Brown, John Ferguson, Bobby Holder, David Herrin, Josh Goss, Cookie Webb, Dr. David Walt, Donnell McNeer, and Ron McNeer.
