Ralph Smith

Ralph Bernell "Smitty" Smith. 86, of Cleveland went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 18, 2022 at Bolivar Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Cleveland Church of Christ with Bro. Tim McCarter officiating. Burial will follow in North Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Smitty was born on February 2, 1936 in Michie, Tennessee to Everett D. Smith and Leora Clark Smith. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Mary Elizabeth Copeland on July 7, 1956 in Corinth, Mississippi. He was a barber in Cleveland for 62 years. He loved interacting with people in his barbershop. His hobbies were collecting coins and memorabilia and working on his lawn.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Beth Smith; three children, Ricky Smith (Diane) Tammy Stewart (Bruce) and Todd Smith; grandchildren, Hal Smith, Brooke Stewart and Sydnie Dickson; and great grandchild, Sarah Hollis Smith.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Ballard, Jacob Dickson, Hal Smith, J.W. Magee, Allen Lamastus, and Jim Malone. Honorary pallbearers are Lowell Kirkbride and Charlie Garner.
