Ralph Joseph Szot Sr., a devoted family man and dedicated professional, passed away on May 7, 2026. Born on August 9, 1944. Visitation will be from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Shaw Catholic Church. Mass will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Shaw Cemetery
Ralph was born August 9, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, to Walter and Anna Szot. Ralph was a proud high school graduate who built a respected career at Baxter's Medical Pharmaceutical. His work was characterized by diligence and integrity.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Anna Szot; wife, Margaret Grimett Sandroni, who was his partner and confidante. Additionally remembered fondly are his three brothers and three sisters, who shared in his life's journey.
Family was the cornerstone of Ralph's life. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Anna Roberson (Jimmy), and his son, Ralph Joseph Szot Jr. (Dolores), who carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. Additionally, Ralph's family includes his stepson, Jeffery Sandroni, who held a special place in his heart.
Ralph's love extended to his grandchildren—Andrew Roberson (Amanda), Tabitha Roberson, Rachel Szot, Devon Clarke, Makala Clarke, and Adalynn Szot—each of whom was deeply cherished. His great-granddaughter, Adelynn Roberson and great-grandson, Mattis Roberson, were a source of immense joy and pride for him in his later years.
Ralph Joseph Szot Sr. will be remembered as a man of quiet strength, unwavering dedication to his family, and a steadfast commitment to his career. His presence will be deeply missed but forever honored by those who knew and loved him.
