Raymond Fava

Raymond Fava passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital - North Mississippi in Oxford, MS on November 30, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born in Shelby, MS to Robert Fava, Sr and Julia Mangialardi Fava. Raymond found joy in simple routines and daily walks. He resided in Clover, South Carolina before returning to Mississippi after the death of his wife to be closer to family. He graduated from Clarksdale High School and University of Memphis. He had a successful career with Western Auto where he retired in January 1998.

A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:00 am at Shelby Cemetery, Shelby, MS.

Raymond is survived by his brother, Anthony Fava, Germantown, TN. Sister-in-laws, Mary Ann Fava, Oxford, MS; Pauline Fava, Clarksdale, MS; and Cynthia Fava, Midlothian, TX; and his devoted cousin, Shirley Whittington, Duncan, MS. Also, he leaves three nephews, two nieces and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Fava, Sr and Julia Mangialardi Fava; his wife, Hazel Whitworth; his brothers, Robert Fava, Jr., Ronald Fava and Jack Fava; and his nephew Charles Fava.
