Roger Dale Ray

Roger Dale Ray, affectionately known as "Roger Rabbit Ray," passed away on January 17, 2026, in Drew, Mississippi, at the age of 61. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM. Interment will be at Shelby Cemetery.

Roger was born on February 9, 1964, to Alvin & Mary Jane Ray in Indianola, Mississippi. Roger dedicated his life to farming, embodying the spirit and hard work that comes with the land. He married Pamela Sue Neese on December 10, 2024.

Throughout his life, Roger was renowned not just for his commitment to his career but for his vibrant personality. He had a unique ability to bring joy to those around him, cherishing moments that made others smile. His love for blues music, dancing, and good times showcased a zest for life that touched everyone he met. Roger's heart belonged to his family, and he considered the Delta his true home.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mary Jane Ray, and brothers Alvin, Rickey, Mickey, Tommy, Eddie, and Jerry Ray. Their memories will forever be held dear in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela, and a legacy of love through his children: Gladys Jane Romirez, Felisha Vargas, Mary Gomez, Ashley, Marquez, Tiffany Hernandez, and Pamela Walker. His grandchildren, including Rebecca, Alexandria, Maria, Analicia, Atanacio, Ronald, Ryan, Christopher, Chloe, Alexandra, Pedro, Christina, Monica, Alejandro, Rodolfo, Brihanna, Christian, Josaline, Yazmine, Daniel, Andres, Tiffany, Hunter, and Justin, will carry forth his joyful spirit. Roger is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Harmony, Diego, and Sophia, along with his sisters Joanne (Manuel), Debbie (Johnny), Mary (Bobby), Nancy (Joe), and Rita (Jarvis), and brothers Mike (Kathy), Steve (Sinde), Tracy, Jamie (Krystal), and Adam (Stephani). Along with his faithful dogs, Cheyanne and Bully.

As we reflect on Roger's life, we remember a joyous spirit who loved deeply and lived fully. His legacy will continue through the smiles he spread and the love he fostered in his family and friends.
