Ronald Charles Barnett

Mr. Ronald Charles "Ronnie" Barnett, 70, of Cleveland, passed away on November 10, 2017 at his home. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Don Barnett officiating.   Interment will follow in Merigold Cemetery.
Ronnie was born in Cleveland, MS, on February 13, 1946, to Kenneth V. Barnett and Dorothy Taylor Barnett.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he earned a National Defense Service Medal, an Army of Occupation Medal (Berlin), and was an Expert with the rifle.  He greatly enjoyed being an amateur Radio First Class Operator.  After being honorably discharged, Ronnie stayed close with all other Veterans by being a member of the local VFW, American Legion, and being an active Patriot Guard Rider for many years. In his spare time, he loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his faithful canine companion, Charlie. 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Barnett; and sister, Toby Mitchell.
Ronnie is survived by his son, Ronald C. Barnett of Millington, TN; daughters, Lori Adams of Evansville, IN, and Machelle McDonald of Merigold, MS; several grandchildren, ; brother, Rev. Donald K. Barnett of Humboldt, TN; and sisters, Faye Cowart of Vicksburg, MS, Mary White of Shreveport, LA, and Suzanne Kincaid of Long Island, NY.
Pallbearers will be the members of the Patriot Guard Riders of Mississippi.
