Rose Worthington went home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2021. A memorial service will be held on June 5th in Covington, TN at the Covington Assembly of God. Rose was born on July 3, 1929 in Memphis, TN to Samuel Ross Woodbury and Nettie Leuvenia Rose Woodbury. She married Robert Thomas Worthington, Sr on November 17, 1946 in Memphis, TN. She graduated from Treadwell High School in Memphis. She went on to the University of Memphis where she received her Associates Degree in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 20 plus years. She retired from the St. Joseph Hospital where she worked as a nurse in the emergency room. She was a current member of Calvary Chapel. She was the pianist at Calvary Chapel for many years. Rose was also known to all as MaRose. She was an avid reader who loved to crochet. In her younger years, she taught piano to her children and many others. In her past time, she absolutely enjoyed card games such as solitaire and bridge. Most of all, she was a servant of the Lord who loved to spend time with her family. She is preceded in passing by her parents, Samuel Ross and Nettie Leuvenia Woodbury; brother, Ross Samuel Woodbury; and great grandchild, McKenzie Skylar Hodges. She is survived by her children, Catherine Hodges (Earl Sr), Robert T. Worthington Jr (Deborah), Mary Davenport (Ralph), Anne Roberson, and John Worthington (Shannon). She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 1 niece, and 3 nephews.
