Ruby Dixon

Mrs. Ruby "Addean" Dixon, 76, and resident of Shelby Nursing Home, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. Celebration of life service will be in Linn Methodist Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Bruce officiating.
Mrs. Dixon was born December 20, 1934 in Linn, MS to C.L. Bond and Cherrie Bond Whiteside. She married Elbert (Peewee) Dixon in Linn, MS. Mrs. Dixon loved spending time with family and friends. She also loved playing bingo. She loved being "Nanny" to her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Gary (Janie) Dixon of Columbus, MS, and Danny (Teresa) Dixon of Clarksdale, MS; daughters, Diane (Alton) Pitts of Clarksdale, MS, and Debra Moody Falletta (Todd) of Amory, MS; ten grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dixon is preceded in death by her husband, Peewee Dixon; two sisters; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be, Robert Pitts, David Pitts, Jim Pitts, William "Bill" Dixon, Daniel "Andy" Dixon, and Larry Thompson.
