Rubye Eileen Madigan

Rubye Eileen Madigan, 92, of Rochester, NY, passed away on July 12, 2019, at Strong Memorial Hospital in NY. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. A Graveside service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at North Cleveland Cemetery with Brother Ike Raley officiating.
Rubye was born on December 12, 1926, to Thomas and Ada McKnight in Cleveland, MS. On December 28, 1954, she married Donald Martin Madigan in Rochester, NY. For over thirty years she worked as an Auto Parts Assembly worker until retirement. Rubye enjoyed planting colorful flowers in the Spring. She loved Geraniums and put them in planters around the house. She always stayed busy and enjoyed making figurines out of seashells, she also enjoyed making decorative wall fans. Rubye raised and showed Yorkshire Terriers for many years. She loved to travel and always maintained a immaculate home. Her favorite was to have holiday dinners with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Madigan; and parents, Thomas and Ada McKnight.
Rubye is survived by her children, Elizabeth S. Danesi and Tod A. Gillespie; grandchildren, Linda A. Danesi, Scott J. Danesi, Brian Gillespie, and Donald Gillespie; and great grandchildren, Jessica M. Danesi and Dominic Gillespie.
