Ruth Lara Goss

Jessye Ruth Lara Goss 80, of Cleveland, MS was called home to be with the Lord while surrounded by family on August 06, 2021. A Memorial Visitation honoring her life will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Our Ladies of Victory Catholic Church with Mass to follow at noon. Ms. Ruth was born on November 30, 1940 in Wharton, TX to Mr. & Mrs. Macario Lara and Rosa Zamora Lara. At a young age she moved to Duncan where she attended school at Duncan and Shelby. She met and married the love of her life Robert Junior Goss on March 30, 1964 they were married 49 years. Ruth worked for Baxter Medical Supply for over 30 years until retiring. In her spare time she loved Crocheting, sewing and baking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed number fill-in puzzles and bingo. Most of all she cherished time with her grandchildren who brought her the most joy.
She is preceded in passing by her loving husband Robert Junior Goss, parents, Mack and Rosa Lara, grandson, Joshua Layne Richardson, sisters, Josephine Reyna and Juanita(Jane)Arriagan, brothers, Mackie, Theodore, and Ramon Lara.
Ruth is survived by her children, Elizabeth Goss(Mark Robinson) and Robert J. Goss, II all of Cleveland, MS., grandchildren, Angel R. Stenmark of Madison, MS, Trey Goss(Stephanie) of Cleveland, Mark Anthony Richardson(Brandy Loper) Greenville, MS, Lyndsey Deerman(Bryan)of Carrolton, MS., great grandchildren, Anna Stenmark, Parker Goss, Braydon Goss, Cash Goss, Gunner Goss, Knox Deerman, Marshall Richardson, Savannah Richardson, Savanna Woods, David Place, Cristian Place, and Autumn Place., siblings, Louise "Lu" Saenz of Corpus Christi, TX, Daniel Lara(Olivia) of Cleveland, MS, Sarah Enriquez of Pearl, MS, Darrell Lara(Tiaria) of Pasadena, TX, and Steve Lara of McAllen, TX.
Family wishes in lieu of flowers all donations be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Research and American Diabetes Association.
