Sam Lloyd

James (Sam) Lamar Lloyd, 89 of Drew, MS, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 23, 2019. A visitation honoring Mr. Lloyd will be held at 10:00a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS with a celebration of life service following at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lehrton Cemetery. Sam was born February 14, 1930, to Malvey and Katie Lloyd in Sunflower County, MS. He married Jeanette Thomas. Sam grew up in Sunflower County, MS where he attended Drew Baptist Church. He served in the Army and National Guard. Sam was in sales/service with IBM for 45 years.
Sam is preceded by his parents, Malvey and Katie Lou Lloyd; wife, Jeanette (Thomas) Lloyd; brothers, William and Jesse Earl Lloyd. James is survived by his son, Sean Lloyd; sister-n-law, Glenna Lloyd; nephew, Glen Lloyd; nieces, Linda Knight, Connee Lloyd, and Nancy Wallace.
