Steve Allen Taylor

Steve Allen Taylor passed away on September 17, 2020 in Southaven, MS. A visitation will be held at Ray Funeral Home on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 1-2 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 2 p.m, followed by a graveside service at the Shelby Cemetery. He was born on October 20, 1959 in Russellville, AL to Sedgie B. Taylor and Willo Jean Taylor. Steve was raised in Shelby, MS but made Boyle, MS his home. He was a longtime business man and owner of Economy Auto. He also had a rental company that kept him busy after selling his auto parts store. He had not been active the past 10 years in activities he enjoyed, such as fishing, hunting, golf, and travel, due to his health. Steve was a well known person and had many friends in this area. He will be missed by all that knew him. May God Bless and keep him safe on his new and exciting journey. You are loved in the spirit as you were in the flesh. Have a safe trip, Star Trek Man; you're on your way to places no living man has known or explored, other than Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He is preceded in passing by his parents, Sedgie B. Taylor & Willo Jean Taylor; brother, David W. Bishop; two sisters, Dianna Bishop Mullins & Janie Bishop Collier; nephew, Bruce F. Collier Jr; and both sets of grandparents. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Bishop Snelson; brother, Dan B. Taylor; sister-in-law, Mary Dunson Prewitt; two nephews, Daniel B. Taylor & Chet Robichaux; nieces, Sherry Rogers Lee & Lisa Rogers Smith; one great niece, Tiffany Lee Pardue; three great nephews, Matt Smith, Pat Smith, & Eric Lee; and long time girlfiend, Lisa Miller.
