Mr. Thomas Eddie Hunter, 74, of Ruleville, MS, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016, at North Sunflower Medical Center. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will immediately follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lehrton Cemetery. Mr. Hunter was born in Ruleville, MS on January 4, 1942, to E.G. Hunter and Ibbie Ester Tenhet. On March 31, 1978, he married Betty Carol Blair in Greenwood, MS. Mr. Hunter loved to hunt and garden when he was able to have one. He also enjoyed listening to old quartet gospel music. He is preceded in death by his parents, E.G. Hunter and Ibbie Ester Tenhet; and brother, Gene Hunter. Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife, Betty Carol Blair; daughters, Mary Leigh Trapolino (Scott) of Hernando, MS, Margaret Hunter McGaugh (Joey) of Shaw, MS; son, Douglas Hunter of Ruleville, MS; grandchildren, Ethan Trapolino, Alexa McGaugh, Becca McGaugh, SJ McGaugh; a host of sister and brother in laws; nieces; and nephews. Pallbearers will be Douglas Hunter, Larry Downs, Rob Livingston, Buddy Burt, Josh Little, and Cody Ballard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hugh Lee Blair, Leroy Blair, Eugene Blair, Joe Ward, and Jimmy Smith. In memory of Mr. Hunter, the family asks in lieu of flowers that all donations be made to St. Jude, American Cancer Society, or the National Future Farmers of America Organization.
