Vickie Lyn Taylor, a devoted mother, wife, and cherished member of her community, passed away on April 7, 2026, in Cleveland, Mississippi.

A visitation service honoring Vickie will be held at 11am Friday, April the 10th, at Ray Funeral home. A Celebration of life service will follow immediately after at 12pm.

Vickie was born on March 1, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Bobby and Pauline Johnson. She married Jerry Dean Taylor on April 7, 1978, in Drew, Mississippi. Vickie’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to family and her commitment to help others.

A proud high school graduate, Vickie devoted thirteen years of her career as a Pharmacy Technician, where her caring nature and professionalism left a lasting impression on those she served. Beyond her work, Vickie found joy in cooking, gardening, and reading, hobbies that reflected her nurturing spirit and love for life.

Her family was always at the center of her world. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Taylor; her daughters, Carrie Ann (Bubba) Townsend and Stephanie Ann (Sean) Jones; and her treasured granddaughters, Spencer Claire Jones and Taylor Mackenzie Jones. Vickie also leaves behind her sisters Shelia Lane, and Alice Landry; as well as her brothers Albert and Bobby Johnson. Together, they remain a testament to the close-knit bonds she nurtured and valued deeply.

Vickie was profoundly proud of her ability to help others, a quality that defined much of her personal and professional life. Her kindness, generosity, and selflessness were evident to all who knew her, embodying a legacy of compassion and care.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bobby and Pauline Johnson, as well her brother EJ Jennings and sister Phyllis Jennings, who undoubtedly helped shape the strong, loving woman she became.

Vickie Lyn Taylor’s memory will be forever cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her. Her life serves as a reminder of the profound impact one individual can have through love, dedication, and the simple, meaningful act of putting family first. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
