William "Bill" Redditt

William Lord “Bill” Redditt, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16^th, 2023 in Chicot Memorial Medical Center, Lake Village, AR.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS at 1:30pm with the service following at 2pm.

Bill was born January 17, 1934 in Greenwood, MS to William Redditt and Evelyn Lord Redditt. He excelled on the football field at Drew High School. In 1954 he married Charline Stallworth, and they were married for 67 years before her death in 2021. In the mid 1950’s, Bill served his country in the United States Army first in Colorado Springs, and then on to Germany. During this time their first child, Cindy Lou, was born, with brother, William Stallworth “Bill” soon to follow 2 years later. With their family complete, Bill began his career as an agricultural pilot. Bill had several hobbies that he enjoyed, but his passion was as a Professional Bass Fisherman. Numerous trophies and plaques are a testament to his skills with the rod and reel. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Redditt Belenchia, his son Bill Redditt (Beth), grandchildren Emily Phillips, Paula Johnson (Reid), Ann Marie Myers (Jeffrey), Matthew Belenchia (Kim), and Ryan Redditt (Mary Parker). Great grandchildren include Mattison Myers, Kyleigh Lou Phillips, Zachary Johnson, Caleb Myers, Emma Belenchia, Lincoln Johnson, Macy Charline Belenchia and new Baby Redditt due in Dec.

The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Ms or French Camp Academy in French Camp, MS.
