William "Bubba" Rogers, a beloved son, brother, father, friend, and life partner, passed away on September 13, 2025, in his hometown of Cleveland, Mississippi. A visitation will be held on September 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Merigold Baptist Church, 301 Second Street, Merigold, MS. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m.
Bubba was Born on September 9, 1971, in Cleveland, MS, to Alfred and Annette Rogers. Bubba was known for his generous spirit and vibrant personality, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
Bubba was a proud graduate of North Sunflower Academy High School in 1989, where he first showcased his talents and passion for baseball, earning a scholarship to play at MDCC. Following his high school graduation, he pursued some college education before embarking on a fulfilling career. He began working for Auto-Chlor in Memphis, TN, where he spent over 25 years as a regional manager. Later, he proudly owned and operated Scenic Service Solutions, a commercial equipment and supplies company based in Chattanooga, TN, for a decade, before returning home to Cleveland.
Bubba's personal interests reflected his warm heart and love for family and friends. He cherished time spent fishing with his sister and coaching his son in baseball, activities that underscored his dedication to nurturing the next generation. His passion for landscaping demonstrated his appreciation for nature and beauty. Bubba was also known for his welcoming demeanor, showcasing his relentless spirit of giving and compassion. Those who had the honor of knowing Bubba will carry his memory forward, remembering him as the salt of the earth—full of life, laughter, and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Annette Rogers; his sister, Tenna Kent; and his nephew, Lee Hicks.
He is survived by his children, Augusta Lee Reid (Blaze) and William Alfred "Liam" Rogers Jr.; his life partner, Beth Gladden Kelly; and his sisters, Beverly Rogers Skeen (Joe) and Cheryl Rogers Davis (Tim). Bubba's family will remember him not only for his accomplishments but for the warmth he brought into their lives.
