Willie Leonard Edwards Jr

Mr. Willie Leonard Edwards, Jr., 71, of Cleveland went to be with Lord on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. A visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 with a service immediately following at Ray Funeral Home Cleveland, MS. A private family graveside will be held at New Cleveland Cemetery.
Willie was born October 2, 1949 in Augusta, GA to Willie and Mary Edwards Sr. He was a veteran of the Army and served in Desert Storm. He loved Civil War history, American history, World War II history. He also enjoyed body building and powerlifting. Willie would watch animal videos and football.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Leonard Edwards Sr. and Mary Ruth Whitaker Edwards. Willie is survived by his son, Kevin Edwards of Cleveland, MS; sisters, Margaret Mallette (Clarence) of Cleveland, MS and Patricia Durastanti (Danny) of Foley, AL; nieces, Denise Mallette of Cleveland, MS and Trissa Durastanti Carter (Eric) of Elbertta, AL; nephews, Alan Mallette of Cleveland, MS and Cade Mallette of Indianapolis, IN.
