Wilmer Zell Buck

Wilmer Zell Buck went to be with the Lord Friday, June 9, 2023.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2023, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS with a Celebration of Life Service immediately to follow at 2:00 p.m.  Graveside Service will be at 3:00 p.m. at North Cleveland Cemetery.

Wilmer Zell Buck was born in Webster County on October 20, 1943, to her parents James Erman Dean and Wilmer Wilson Dean. She attended Ackerman High School and later on pursued a career path that included working at Color Tile in Cleveland, MS, Pats Nursery, and serving as a nurse's aide at Cleveland Health Care for 11 years. 

She had an unforgettable personality and never met a stranger. In her free time, she loved cooking, gardening, and anything outdoors. She was also an avid fisherwoman who enjoyed spending time by the water. Basketball was another passion of hers that she dedicated some of her time to playing.  Wilmer Zell Buck loved spending time with her family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved most.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Erman and Wilmer Dean; brothers, Wayne, Lonnie, and Paul Dean.

Wilmer leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years John Earl Buck; daughters, Vickey Pauline Buck Weeks (Rick), Carol Sue Grantham (Terry) Wilma Renell Buck Medders (Kevin); son, John Earl Buck Jr.  (Denee); granddaughters, Jessica Williamson (Lance), Ashley Barnes (Larry), Erin Busby (Brooks), Morgan Medders; grandson Jason Medders; great-grandchildren, McKinnley Barnes, Peyton Barnes, Taylor Barnes, Tate Williamson, Lydia Williamson, Baker Busby; sisters, Erma Zell Lampard, Ruby and Evelyn Sue Dean.  Her legacy is continued by a large family that includes a host of nieces and nephews.

Wilmer Zell Buck's presence on Earth will be dearly missed but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her best. Rest in peace, Wilmer Zell Buck.
