Ardene Fullilove Obituary
Mrs. Ardena Lajeune Fullilove, 87, of Shelby, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Tunica Nursing Home. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. May 13, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Smith officiating. Interment will be in Shelby Cemetery.
Mrs. Fullilove was born June 22, 1925, to Paul Lewis Artman and Margaret Lucille Johnston Artman. On February 3, 1946, she married Malcolm Charles Fullilove in Clarksdale, MS. She was a member of First Bellview Baptist Church in Shelby, MS. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family and friends, listening to music. She loved playing gin rummy, deuces wild, rook, and dominoes. Her children consider her greatest accomplishment was being a perfect mother.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Fullilove (Danna) of Tunica and Rod Fullilove of Shelby; daughter, Karen Fullilove of Tunica; brother, Paul Compton Artman (Carol) of Indianola, MS; grandchildren, Rachel Rains (Matt) of Piedmont, MO, Adam Fullilove of Tunica, Danette Roberson of Southaven, Heath Fullilove (Donna) of Batesville, and Kyle Fullilove of Byhalia, MS; great-grandchildren, Malcolm Rains of Piedmont, MO, Mary-Catherine Rains of Piedmont, MO, Merideth Roberson of Batesville, Logan Roberson of Batesville, Landon Fullilove of Batesville, Nicole Fullilove of Batesville, Cheyenne Fullilove of Austin, TX and Harlan Fullilove of Austin, TX.
Pallbearers will be Adam Fullilove, Heath Fullilove, Kyle Fullilove, Logan Roberson, Landon Fullilove, Dennis Cude, Matt Rains, and Jamie Roberson. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Upton, Dr. James Warrington, Sr., Dr. Bill Wilson, John Hobbs, and Paul Artman, Jr.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please donate to any Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
