Mrs. Carmon Almareen Holcomb Jones, 84, of Linn, MS passed away at North West Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, MS, Monday, June 20, 2011.Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home, Thursday, June 23, 2011 Celebration of life services will be Thursday, June 23, 2011 in North Cleveland Cemetery at 3:00 p.m..
Carmon Jones was born in Arkansas on September 24, 1926. She was married to Gregory Ames Jones. Mrs. Jones loved fishing and music and was a member of the Church of God. She also loved spending time with her family
She is survived by her son, Joseph Jones of Linn, MS; daughter, Deborah Jones Yawn (Elvin) of Clarksdale, MS; grandchildren, Bradley Yawn (Rebecca) of Hattiesburg, MS and Stephanie Yawn Lusk (Jeff) of Linn, MS; six great-grandchildren, Brandon Yawn, Lilly Yawn, Reagan Yawn, Katelyn Lusk, Laney Lusk, and Lacey Lusk; brothers, J.D. Holcomb of Vicksburg, MS (Pauline), Lloyd Holcomb of Greenville, MS (Ardette), and L.C. Holcomb of Greenville, MS (Tina); and a host of nieces and nephews.
