Mrs. Carol Dees, 67, of Benoit, MS, passed away at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS, Friday, December 30, 2011. Visitation will be held, Monday, January 2, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Celebration of life service will be Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church in Benoit, MS, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow celebration of life service in Beulah Cemetery.
Mrs. Dees was born, May 30, 1944 to Roy Smith and Dorothy Brewer Smith in Benoit, MS. She married William Dees, Sr. in Benoit, MS.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Dorothy Smith; Linda Smith Johnson (Earl) and Darlene Smith.
Mrs. Dees is survived by her husband, William Dees, Sr. of Benoit, MS; sons, William Dees, Jr. (Ann) of Benoit, MS, Michael Dees of Benoit, MS and Kenny Dees (Ginger) of Benoit, MS; grandchildren, Nathan and Nataleigh Dees of Benoit, MS, Chris and Becky Thorn of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jenny Thorn of Memphis, TN; brothers and sisters, Billy Smith (Linda) of Benoit, MS, Bobby Smith of Benoit, MS, Hazel Smith of Benoit, MS, Nan Williamson (Bobby) of Benoit, MS, Kathy Easterling (Danny) of Greenville, MS, and Roy Smith, Jr. (Patricia) of St. Charles, MO.
Pallbearers will be Greg Easterling, Brian Williamson, Justin Smith, Timmy Johnson, David Johnson, Kenneth Taylor, Michael Taylor and Hubbard Stephens.
