Clyde Mitchell

Clyde Dallas Mitchell, 98, from the Linn Community died March 11, 2011 at the Walter B. Crook Nursing Facility. Mr. Mitchell had been a resident of the Linn Community since 1941. He retired from farming at the age of 80. He was very active in Linn Baptist Church where he served many years as deacon, Sunday school superintendent and many other positions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bertha Barrett Mitchell; his wife of 22 years, Ruby Neal Mitchell; step-son Charles Bean; brothers, Harold Mitchell and Aubrey Mitchell; sister, Lois Floyd; and son-in-law, Jimmie Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mildred Kline Mitchell; daughters, Nell (Edgar) Donahoe, Sue Moore, Becky (Glen) Powell, Linda (Terry) Hughes and Terri (Lynn) Flanagan; step-daughters, Shirley (Walt) Thomas, Mary Bean and stepson, Hubert Bean; Brother, Jack Mitchell; sisters, Nadine (Bob) Howard, Inez Bailey, Virginia (Eugene) Kirk, and Doris Donahoe.
He has 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
