Frances Sessums

Frances Olivia Stokely Sessums, 94. passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. A Memorial service will be under the direction of Ray Funeral Home, Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 2 pm at Drew United Methodist Church with Dr. Joe Edd Morris officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Drew Methodist Church.
Mrs. Sessums was born December 16, 1915, in Drew, MS to George Robert Stokely and Cloanna Olivia Stigler. She married James Shelby Sessums in August, 1935 in Drew.
Mrs. Sessums was the pianist/organist at Drew Methodist Church for 25 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents George Robert Stokely and Cloanna Olivia Stigler; and her husband, James Shelby Sessums; and two sisters, Nell Stokely Dees and Becky Stokely Jackson.
She is survived by her children, Shelby Sessums of Natchez, MS, Brad (Robin) Sessums of Brandon, MS, and Sandra Sessums Crosthwait of Jackson, MS; six grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Drew United Methodist Church in honor of Mrs. Frances Sessums.
