Fred Thompson

Fred Thompson, 76, of Cleveland, passed away at Cleveland Health and Rehab October 7, 2010. A memorial gathering will be held from 2-4p.m. October 16, 2010 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS.
Mr. Fred was born in Tutwiler, MS March 14, 1934 to Maggie Elizabeth Norwood and Wesley Earl Thompson. He worked as an electrician for most of his life, and he loved to fish.
Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his parents, Maggie Elizabeth and Wesley Earl Thompson; brothers, John Thompson and Emmett Norwood; and sister, Dellie Mae Childress.
He is survived by his son, David Thompson (wife, Penny) of Alexandria, TN; daughter, Judy Owens (Husband, Charlie) of Huntsville, TX; grandchildren, Megan Thompson Adams (Matt), Andrew David Thompson, Melanie Schwank, Justin McLeod, Samuel McLeod, Memorie Baker and Paige McLeod; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Schwank, Cooper Schwank, Calli Baker, and Samuel Alan McLeod; brother, Alton Tee Thompson of South Carolina; sister, Linda Norwood Suttle of Laurel, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.
