John Brackin Obituary

Mr. John Wayne Brackin, 68, of Cleveland, MS, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Hill and Bro. Mark Worsham officiating in Cleveland under the direction of Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Ray Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Burial will follow the funeral in North Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Brackin was born February 13, 1942 to John Wesley Brackin and Carrie Howe Brackin in Memphis, TN. He married Linda Vance May 20, 1961 in Boyle, MS. John Brackin was a loving husband, devoted father and was always there for his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mr. Brackin also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Vance Brackin of Cleveland, MS; daughters, Denisa Brackin Winters (Travis) of Cleveland, MS and Becky Brackin Bangerter (Chris) of Brentwood, TN; son, Kelly Brackin (Jennifer) of Southaven, MS; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Vaughn, Tommy Vaughn, Larry Cocilova, Adam Winters, Lucas Banderter, Bob Watson, and Bo Watson.
Honorary pallbearers will be retired Trunkline co-workers and Men of the Moose Lodge.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Cleveland, MS.
