John Britt

John Howard Britt, Sr., 66, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 at his home in Minter City. Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 2: 30 p.m. at Minter City Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Dodd officiating. Visitation will be from 5- 7 on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Ray Funeral Home and also from 1 to 2:30 on Sunday at the church.
Mr. Britt was born November 15, 1943 to Horace Elija Britt; Sr. and Lydia Emily €œSmith Britt in Greenwood, MS. He married Sandra Kay Chadwick on January 10, 1964 in Belen, MS.
Mr. Britt is preceded in death by his parents Horace Elijah Britt, Sr. and Lydia Emily Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Britt of Minter City; sons, John Howard Britt, Jr. ( Melissa)of Bridge Water, VA, Wayne Britt (Stephanie)of Ruleville, MS, and Michael Britt (Melonie) of Minter City, brother; Guy Britt of Stewart, MS, sisters; Lynda Burleson (Bill)of Greenwood, MS, grandchildren; Ashton Britt, Justin Britt, Taylor Britt, Katelyn Britt, Audra Britt, Ali Britt; and 2 great- grandchildren Piper Britt and Ean Layton.
Memorials may be made to North Sunflower Medical Foundation or American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Jay Burlson, T.C. Britt III, John Smith, Terry Galey, Jamie Haynes, Guy Britt, Jr., Jimmy Britt, Derek Britt.
