John Greer

John Thomas Greer, 86, of Cleveland, died Thursday, August 5, 2010, at his home. A visitation will be at Skene Baptist Church at 10:00am Monday, August 9, 2010. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at Skene Baptist Church (Hwy 446 Skene, Ms) under the direction of Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Sistrunk officiating. The Burial will follow the funeral service in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Greer is preceded in death by his parents, Percy Thomas Greer and Lucille McKinney Greer.
John is survived by his sister, Maxine Greer Moss and brother-in-law, L.G. Moss of Southaven, MS; Nephews, Tom, Patrick, and William Moss all of Memphis, TN; and cousins, Thomas McCann of Portland, TN and Jane Ellen Bobitt of Cleveland.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Hawkins, Joe Ellis, Carl Tarver, Hunter Grimmett, Colemand Grimmett, Richard Stanfill, and Steven Stanfill.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Mann, Charlie Campbell, Lloyd Brown, Mack Grimmet, Jerry Junkin, and Bill Stanfill.
Memorials can be made to Skene Baptist Church or Cleveland Animal Shelter in memory of Mr. Greer.
