Josephine Vowell Obituary
Josephine Vowell, 77, of Shaw passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at St. Dominic's, in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July, 27 2012 at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. John Read officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Shaw Cemetery.
Mrs. Josephine was born in Shaw, MS. January 30, 1935, to Henry Martin Satterfield and Lena B. Hutson Satterfield. She later married Robert E. Vowell and they had two sons together. She was a devoted mother to her special needs children, a dedicated Christian, and was a very free hearted and giving person.
She is preceded in death by her, parents, Henry and Lena Satterfield.
Mrs. Josephine is survived by sons, Lloyd Eugene Vowell, and Ricky Glen Vowell of Benoit, MS; brothers, Travis Satterfield (Nancy) of Benoit, MS, and Warren Satterfield (Carolyn) of Benoit, MS; sister, Betty Johnson of Benoit, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be, Tim Kline, Earl Kline, Dwayne Satterfield, Dennis Satterfield, Darrell Satterfield, Kirk Satterfield, and William Satterfield.
