Lisa Kittrell Meeks was a precious gift from God who arrived on Mother’s Day, May 12, 1963. She was born
in Cleveland, Mississippi, to William Allen Kittrell and Mary Kathryn Kittrell and was later joined by her
beloved brother, William Allen Kittrell, Jr. On June 7, 2026, Lisa was called home to be with the Lord in
Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 63.
The Kittrell family made their home in Cleveland and faithfully attended Yale Street Baptist Church. It was
there that Lisa accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized on August 1, 1976. Growing up, Lisa
shared a treasured bond with her many cousins, filling her childhood with laughter, adventures, and family
gatherings that remained close to her heart throughout her life. These relationships helped shape the
woman she became.
Lisa graduated with Honors from Cleveland High School in 1981, where she participated in the Vocational Technology
Program and received recognition through the Future Business Leaders of America. During this time, she
discovered her passion for medical records and healthcare administration, a calling that would guide her
life’s work. She continued her education at Delta State University, earning her bachelor’s degree before
being accepted into the School of Health Related Professions at the University of Mississippi Medical Center
in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1985, she graduated with a degree in Health Information Management and began
her career as a Registered Health Information Administrator.
Throughout her career, Lisa served multiple hospitals with professionalism, integrity, and dedication. She
was deeply committed to her work and earned the respect of colleagues and staff through her knowledge
and excellence. Her career culminated at Crittenden Regional Hospital, where she faithfully served as
Director of Health Information Management until her retirement.
While Lisa was devoted to her career, her greatest commitment was always to her family. She loved deeply,
gave generously, and found joy in supporting those she cherished. Whether celebrating milestones,
offering encouragement, or simply spending time together, Lisa’s presence brought comfort, strength, and
love to her family and friends.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Keith Meeks of Memphis; her mother, Mary Katheryn
Robb Kittrell, of Cleveland; her brother, William Allen Kittrell, Jr. (Amy) of Clinton MS.; her
daughter, Jessica Bailey Smith (Leon) of Jonesboro AR.; her son, Trey Bailey (Anita) of
Clarksdale MS; and three grandchildren, Tristan, Nick and Baylee.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Allen Kittrell and her nephew, Carson
Logan Kittrell and her maternal and paternal grandparents, and several nieces and nephews.
