Martha Solomon

Mrs. Martha Eloise Abel Solomon, 78, of Leland, MS, passed away at her home, Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Visitation will be Friday, September 30, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Celebration of life service will be Friday, September 30, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Barry Dickerson officiating.
Mrs. Solomon was born January, 7, 1933 to Walter Henry Abel and Mary Douglas Price in Cleveland, MS. She received her bachelor, masters, and specialist degrees in education from Delta State University. She married Edward Lloyd Solomon in Cleveland, MS on August 18, 1951. She was a member of Mississippi Rose Association. Mrs. Solomon grew and showed roses for years. She taught Bible study at First United Methodist Church in Cleveland and taught Sunday school for over twenty years for children and adults.
She is survived by her children, Jackie Solomon Dedwylder of Senatobia, MS and Walter Lloyd Solomon (Sandy Hamilton Solomon) of Leland, MS; grandchildren, Will Dedwylder, Ben Dedwylder (Rebekah), Mike Dedwylder, Amy Solomon Harris (Cale), Eric Edward Solomon, Joseph Walter Solomon; great-grandchild, Max Dedwylder; honorary grandchild, Bobby Pelts.
