Melody Burke

Ms. Melody Louise Burke, 57, of Shelby died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at her home. Celebration of Life Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Ms. Burke was born on August 28, 1954 in Clarksdale to Charles William Burke and Dorothy Lee Roberts Burke. She graduated from Parks College of St. Louis University.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her brother, Lee Burke and his wife Carolyn of Shelby; stepmother, Anita B. Burke of Shelby ; a niece, Rikki Leigh Rickels and her husband Glen, of Cleveland ; and beloved; companions, Elvis, Finley and Spatz.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Bolivar County Humane Shelter, or charity of choice.
