Melvelene Dean Obituary
Melvelene Hays Dean, 78, of Pontotoc, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Celebration of life services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at Grace Baptist Church in Pontotoc, MS with Bro. Terry Owen officiating.
Mrs. Dean was born in Cleveland, August 13, 1932 to Lewis Edward and Maudie Mae McFerrin Hays. She married Freddie Hugh Dean in Greenville, MS on July 4, 1953. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and housewife.
She is survived by daughters, Connie Owen of Pontotoc, MS and Lori Funderburk of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Caleb Owen of Pontotoc, MS, Caley Beth Moffitt of Oakland, TN, Audra Bailey of Franklin, TN, Chelsea Funderburk of Blue Mountain, MS and Ross Funderburk of Clarksville, TN; and 6 great-grandchildren.
