Nannie Chandler

Mrs. Nannie Myrtle Townsend Chandler, 97, of Ruleville, MS passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at her home. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. Celebration of life services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Robert "Sonny" Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Drew City Cemetery.
Mrs. Chandler was born January 16, 1914 to Albert and Alma Townsend. She married James Cullie Chandler in 1950.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Cullie Chandler; parents, Albert Townsend and Alma Tear Townsend; sisters, Lela Townsend Wright, Elsie Townsend Rozier and Emma Townsend Robbins; brothers, Jim Townsend, Bill Townsend, Harvey Townsend and Loution Townsend.
She is survived by her son, James A. "Jimmy" Chandler.
