Pearl Worthey Obituary

Mrs. Pearl Davis Worthey, 98, of Cleveland, MS, passed away, Monday, January 9, 2012 at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. There also be a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00, Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Pickens Presbyterian Church. Celebration of life service will be Thursday, January 12,. 2012 at Pickens Presbyterian Church in Pickens, MS at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Starnes officiating. Burial will follow service in Quiet Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Worthey was born August 16, 1913 to Earl Davis and Kate Renfrow Davis in Hopewell, MS. She married Howard Thomas Worthey in Jackson, MS on October 6, 1946. They attended Pickens Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her sons, Tommy (Denise) Worthey of Cleveland, MS and Britt Worthey of Cleveland, MS; brother, W.O. Davis of Madison, MS; grandchildren, Lauren Swanson (Blake), Caryn Worthey, Jamie Warren (Matthew) and Davis Worthey; three great-grandsons, Cody, Hatcher and Gunnar Swanson.
Mrs. Worthey is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Howard Thomas Worthey.
Pallbearers will be Bill McKay, Sonny Worthey, Stan Johnson, Jesse Leverette, Henry McNeese, Joe Guess, Davis Worthey and Matthew Warren.
