Ricky Mullen Obituary

Mr. Ricky Dale was born on August 14, 1951 to the union of the late, Linus and Mary Ina (Vick) Mullen. Ricky was the twelfth of thirteen children, born under this union. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy Lee, William (Bud), Herbert Jay; and four sisters, Mary May, Alma Joanne, Jeanie Mae, and Barbara Diane.
Ricky served our country under the service of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged at the end of his service tour. Ricky confessed Jesus Christ as the Son of God and his Lord and Savior and was baptized on Thursday, September 15, 2011. He said his only regret was that he did not give his life to Christ earlier in his life.
On Sunday, September 18, 2011, Ricky told his brother, Fred that he had to go somewhere, at 9:00 p.m. Ricky held to his word and left this world to go be with his Redeemer and Savior, in heaven. Celebration of Life services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Rev. W.E. Tinson will be officiating and a burial shall follow at Linn Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ricky leaves to mourn two sons, Daniel Mullen of Shaw, MS and Kelvin (Rebecca) Owens of Abbeville, MS; five beautiful grand-children; jes'Sean Leroydrick, jes' Lah Dannell, and jes'Dyn Symone all of Shaw, MS, Yanti Alexis of Cebu City, Phillipines, and Reed of Abbeville, MS; two brothers, Frederick and Benny both of Shaw, MS; three sisters Francis (Net) of Panama City, FL, Peggy Ruth (Rodney) of Jackson, MS, and Nancy Sue of Shaw, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
