Robert Mitchell Obituary
Robert "Bobby" Gale Mitchell, 83, of Greenville, MS, died, Monday, March 21, 2011. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS from 12:30- 1:30 p.m. Graveside service will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, MS beginning at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2011.
Mr. Mitchell was the son of the late Charles Mitchell and Beatrice Mize Mitchell. On January 4, 1951 he married Corene Allred. He was a loving and devoting husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Mitchell loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Corene Allred Mitchell; five daughters, Gail Thrash (Jerry) of Clinton, MS, Molly Warrick (Dale) of Raymond, MS, and Natalie Bingham of Indianola, MS, Esther Williams (Joe) of Lawrence, MS and June Mitchell of Greenville, MS; two sons, Roy Mitchell of Greenville, MS and James Mitchell of Jackson, MS; eleven grandchildren, Jerri Ann Thomas, Bridgett Lindsay, Tommy Bingham, Billy Scott Mitchell, Konner Grace Mitchell, Jamie Weaver, Jeannie Mitchell, Jessie Mitchell, Kristen Williams, Corey Mitchell, Kevin Patton; eight great-grandchildren, Case Parker Thomas, Ella Reese Thomas, Aiden Hall, Kiera Weaver, Faith Weaver, Anna Scott Mitchell, Briggs Staples, and David Kade Cavanah; two sisters, Mary Morgan of Greenville, MS and Dorothy Buck of Pascagoula, MS; and brother, Charles Mitchell, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Thrash, Dale Warrick, Tommy Bingham, Billy Scott Mitchell, and Joe Williams.
Honorary pallbearer will be Corey Mitchell.
