Robert Earl Newsom, 63, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Delta Heights Memorial Gardens in Cleveland. The Visitation will be from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 14, 2010.
Mr. Newsom was born December 15, 1946 to Ernest Nathaniel Newsom and Carmonleta Holland in Poplar Grove, Arkansas. He married Patsy Nell Medders on November 26, 1992 in Gunnison.
He is preceded in death by his mother Carmonleta Newsom.
His survived by his wife Patsy Medders Newsom of Gunnison, MS; son, Robert Earl €œBobby€ Newsom III of Cleveland, MS; daughter, Tonya Neathery of Highland, Arkansas, Sonya Strait of Paducha, KY, Angel Medders of Iuka, MS, Beverly Newsom of Tishamingo, MS; father Earnest Nathaniel Newsom; brothers, Earnest Levon Newsom of Corinth, MS, William (Billy) Joseph Newsom of Gunnison, MS, Larry James Newsom of Round Lake, MS, Donald Wayne Newsom of Olive Branch, MS; sisters, Patty Sue Brackin of Starkville, MS, and Sharon Kay Perkins of Caledonia, MS; grandchildren, Shelby and Haley Newsome, Courtney Neathery, Lydia Strait, Brooke and Paige Strait, KalebMedders, Trevor and Bayleigh Taylor
