Sarah Ellen Land, 98, passed away at Cleveland Nursing and Rehab Center in Cleveland, MS. Graveside services will be held in Leroy, IL on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in Oakgrove Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Land was born to Thomas Lee Phillips and Mae V. Spencer, August 27, 1912. She married Wilmer Elmer Land November 3, 1929 in Ellsworth, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Lee Phillips and Mae Spencer; and husband, Wilmer Elmer Land; son, Tommy Land; and daughter, Nancy Eaton.
Mrs. Land is survived by her daughters, Mae Bell Brown (Wesley) of Rosedale, MS, Mary Bickers (Albert) of Rosedale, MS, and Phyllis Follis of Clinton, IL; sisters, Violette LaMonte of Bloomington, IL, Hazel Nally of LeRoy, IL, and Cleo Phillips of LeRoy, IL; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cleveland Nursing and Rehab Center.
