Shirley Smith Obituary
Mrs. Shirley Ann Smith, 66, of Cleveland, MS, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.. Celebration of life service will be Friday, July 29, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow services in Merigold Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born in Lombardy, MS to Robert Otto Griffin and Martha Eva Hollis on December 21, 1944. She married Marion Marvin Smith on April 10, 1965 in Ruleville, MS. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Marion Marvin Smith of Cleveland, MS; sons, Tim W. (Robin) Smith of Cleveland, MS and David (Minhae) Smith of Savannah, GA; daughter, Theresa Smith of Cleveland, MS; grandchildren, Samantha Smith of Cleveland, MS, Lindsey Smith of Cleveland, MS, Denver Smith of Savannah, GA, Jordan Smith of Savannah, GA, and Addie Smith of Cleveland, MS; and one great-grandchild, Logan Burnside of Cleveland, MS.
Pallbearers will be Joey Salley, Les Poynor, Lewis Turner, Tim W. Smith, Allen Camp, Cassidy Griffin, Colby Poyner, Lenny Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Denver Smith, Nash Burnside and Jordan Smith.
