William Cannon Obituary
William Gildroy Cannon, Jr., 89, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at North Cleveland Cemetery, with Bro. Bob Hill officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Ray Funeral Home.
William Gildroy Cannon, Jr. was born September 28, 1920 to William Gildroy Cannon and Fannie Rosalle Jarvis. He married Annie Lois Edmonds on December 25, 1941.
William Cannon served in the Army and worked at Baxters for 35+ years. He was a member of the Calvery Baptist Church, and a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Gildroy Cannon and mother, Fannie Rosalle Jawis; and wife Annie Cannon.
Survivors include son, William G. Cannon III of Columbus, MS; daughter, Linda C. Ellis (Bill) of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren Sheri Cooper of Warner Robins, GA, Bill Ellis Jr. of Tupelo, MS, Vicki Lindsey of Cleveland, MS; and 7 great- grandchildren.
