Willie Brown

Willie Gene "Billy" Brown, 73, Of Rosedale, MS passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Ray Funeral Home, with services immediately following at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Haney officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date in the Shaw City Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born March 14, 1939, to Benjamin Franklin Brown and Emma Geneva Johnson. He served in the Air force in 1957. May 11, 1959, Billy married Alice Nell Brown in Shaw, MS. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, fishing and playing country music.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Nell Brown; nine Children: Allen Gilliland (Liz) of DeSoto,MO, Howard Brown (Karol) of Cleveland,MS, Bobby Brown of Tulsa, OK, Janie Leach (Burell) of Brandon, MS, Pamela Brown Hancock of Rosedale, MS, Margaret Chisolm of Rosedale, Anthony R. Brown (Lisa), James Gilliland (Cheryl) of Phoenix, AZ, and Michelle Coulombe (Alan) of Utah; and 26 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Terry of Shaw,MS and Pearlie May Baker of Alabama.
